Hebrews 11:1 says, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” The author of Hebrews goes on to say in verse 6, “But without faith it is impossible to please [God], for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”

There is nothing more foundational or fundamental in our walk with Christ than faith. It is the starting point of salvation. It is the fuel for every godly act. By faith we receive God’s relentless affection and through faith God is writing His divine story in us, through us and sometimes even in spite of us.
