The Tootsie Pop Chronicles – Pt. 1

“Therefore, I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God to present your bodies to God a living and holy sacrifice which is your spiritual act of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove what the will that God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.”

Romans 12:1 – 2

Finding Your Sweet SpotHow many licks does it take to get to the tootsie roll center of a tootsie pop?

According to the commercial the wise old owl never makes it past three. He says the world may never know.

I wonder if that’s how you feel about your life. While other Believers talk about having an abundant life, do you sit quietly by wondering why the abundant life seems to have passed you by?

Romans 12:1 – 2 tell us some remarkable things about the life you’ve been given through Christ.

Your salvation is a remarkable gift from God. The reality is, God has freed you from the Laws of Sin and Death. In other words…you don’t have to live by the worlds rules anymore! As a Believer in Jesus Christ you live under a new law. It’s the Law of Liberty. It’s a law that says, “I’m free, so I can.” I can do what God wants me to do, be what God wants me to be. I can follow Christ into the exciting life adventure He has for me.

Now that you’re free from sin there are three things you can should do that you couldn’t do before. There is an urgency in the text that tells us, ‘…you should do these things because they work.’ In other words…this is how you find your sweet spot. So what are the three things you should do?
